  • How Big Is Baby: A pumpkin, baby is about 18.9 to 20.9 inches long and weighs about 6.2 to 9.2 pounds. His/Her head is now about the same circumference as the abdomen. S/he may have about an inch or so of hair already. S/he’s slowly shedding that white goo on his/her skin (called vernix caseosa), but you might see some of it at birth.

  • Sleep: Officially gone for the most part, but keeping “sane” with naps (Arion may disagree about the sanity part ;)).

  • Diet/Cravings/Aversions: Haven’t been as hungry lately, but thirsty all the time.

  • Exercise: I’m taking walks, which involve at most the ~5 blocks to the bus, instead of the usual no-big-deal 20 that used to occur daily.  Baby has dropped and is head-butting my bladder/pelvis, let me be.

  • Movement: There is one particular foot that loves my ribcage and there is a lot of steam-rolling going on, but it’s still pretty cool.

  • The Belly: Feeling like it’s constantly in a contraction.

  • What I’m Loving: Sleep when I can get it and the dreams of when we will finally get to set our eyes on this little love of our lives.

  • Worries: That I’ll have no idea when I go into labor? (stop laughing, mamas) HOW WILL I KNOW?? Response from the crowd: “Oh, you’ll know, don’t worry”.

  • Other Symptoms: Contractions, contractions, contractions.  Oh and some swelling.  Finally had to take the smart road and stop wearing my rings 😦  My hand feels naked, but it’s better than the possibility that one might have to be cut off.

  • What I’m Looking Forward to: Meeting baby.

  • Best Moment of the Week: Quality relaxing time with the hubs.  Oh, and taking baths – because apparently I do that now.

  1. I totally know how you feel about the “how will I know”! I remember asking the same thing. It’s really hard to tell early labor, whether it’s real or not. I went to the hospital once only to get sent home, which totally sucks! But everyone is right, once you’re in TRUE labor, you’ll know. And it’s your first so most likely, you’ll have plenty of time.

  2. This is soooo exciting. Here’s to an easy delivery and a healthy baby. I am still having girl vibes! Love, Aunt Kathy

  3. Seriously ANY day now and I could not be more excited or proud of you Heaths! You already make a great mommy, now we just need Tuk to make his/her appearance so the spoiling can commence! xoxo
