Tuk Tuk Thursday – 36 Weeks

Exactly ONE month from today is my due date, but really, it’s actually 27 days, since February is short.  WHY IS FEBRUARY SO SHORT?!?

photo courtesy of my friend/photographer Rachel Hochberg (see her amazing talents on her blog), who did a belly photo shoot for me!! (a full blog run-down to come)

  • How Big Is Baby: A honeydew, S/he’s still in the 17.2- to 18.7-inch and 4.2- to 5.8-pound range and continues to beef up. S/he’s getting closer and closer to being able to breathe on her/his own. Her/his skin is getting smooth and soft and gums are rigid. Her/his liver and kidneys are in working order. Circulation and immune systems are basically good to go, too.

  • Sleep: I hate to keep repeating myself each week, but tossing and turning doesn’t provide for much excitement when describing sleep habits; or lack thereof.

  • Diet/Cravings/Aversions: Still no eggs, everything else is delicious.  Especially apples.

  • Exercise: Keep on, keeping on.

  • Movement: Baby has mastered the hula-hoop, cha-cha, jump-rope and any other activities that require large and long movements in a confined space.  And surprisingly, it still makes me happy.

  • The Belly: Big, just big 🙂

  • What I’m Loving: These last few weeks as I try to enjoy the hubs, friends, and family, just a little bit extra.

  • Worries: Nothing of note.

  • Other Symptoms: More regular hip pain when walking, but it’s still not constant.  Otherwise, pretty great!

  • What I’m Looking Forward to: Meeting the little bundle!!

  • Best Moment of the Week: My weekend of pampering.  The hubs was out west (in CO) for the annual father/sons ski weekend, so I took it upon myself to fill my time with princess-like activities.  Haircut, brunches (Café D’Alsace and Maialino – recently rated two of the best brunch places in NYC by Business Insider), pedi, pre-natal massage, girlie movies (Magic Mike included… which was terrible), etc.  So all that was pretty awesome/delicious.  Now, we’re both Manhattan-bound until the baby decides to arrive; insane.

Bump Progression…
