Tuk Tuk Thursday – 34 Weeks

A little unorganized this week with the “official” photo-taking; please don’t judge for the Hello Kitty pj pants!

  • How Big Is Baby: A butternut squash, with less than two months to go, s/he weighs in at about 4.2 pounds to 5.8 pounds and measures about 17.2 to 18.7 inches. S/He’s recognizing and reacting to simple songs, if you’re singing them. (This baby is going to come out a rock star!!!) S/He’s also urinating about a pint a day.

  • Sleep: Gone.  Tossing and turning is the new sleep, but every time I wake up I hold my belly and immediately smile, so it isn’t all bad.

  • Diet/Cravings/Aversions: Still with the freaking apples!!  That and strawberry cream cheese on everything bagels.

  • Exercise: I’m tired, so any walk is a success.

  • Movement: Huge movements instead of kicks and swear I can sometimes distinguish between a tush and a foot (both of which are perfect, FYI)!!

  • The Belly: Big, round, and gorgeous!

  • What I’m Loving: Sitting on the couch, ha!  Also, brunches and dinners with friends and the crazy reality that the next time we see some people, we’ll be THREE.  Careful what you wish for on your 30th bday… just sayin’.

  • Worries: Surprisingly calm lately.

  • Other Symptoms: The lower back pain is killer, but it’s met with overwhelming waves of gratitude and joyful crying… so symptoms = emotional.

  • What I’m Looking Forward to: Meeting this bundle.

  • Best Moment of the Week: Attending our final childbirth prep class, spending time with great friends/family, packing the hospital bag (check!), and having some relaxing time with just the hubs and me… gotta eat that up while we can!  Oh also, Amanda… that home-made peanut butter and mini chocolate chip ice cream you hand-delivered… it lasted more than one moment this week, but not too many more 😉 – thank you!!!

Bump Progression…

  1. Dear Heather, I so enjoy this blurb. Great to see how well you’re doing and how excited you are. Am anxiously awaiting the big day (or night) as you are. You are carrying this child all in the front. It’s so interesting. I saw a picture of you and Erika. She’s carrying entirely differently. It would be strange if you both had girls because people claim you can tell the sex from the way the mother carries. I’m waiting for the big surprise. Good luck. Have an easy and safe delivery. Love, Grandma
