Tuk Tuk Thursday – 31 Weeks

  • How Big Is Baby: A pineapple, she/he’s about 15.2 to 16.7 inches long and weighs about 2.5 to 3.8 pounds this month. She/He’s getting so big, she/he’s probably crowding your lungs. She/He’s going through major brain and nerve development. Eye development, too. Her/His irises now react to light! All five of his senses are in working order.

  • Sleep: Sleeping pretty well actually in between peeing every hour and/or switching from one side to the other, but at the end of the day, I’m beat.

  • Diet/Cravings/Aversions: Aversion to eggs, otherwise eating everything.  Still a lot of apples!!

  • Exercise: Did I mention I live in a walking city?

  • Movement: A lot of waves across the belly lately, which is magical to watch; also some pretty strong stretches from one side to the other.  Still loving it!!

  • The Belly: Bikini Ready?  With our babymoon coming up, belly is ready to be put on display (photos to come, if I have the guts).

  • What I’m Loving: Childbirth classes, people giving up their seats on the subway/bus for me, and random strangers guessing the sex of our baby.

  • Worries: Nope, which is pretty impressive since we saw the “birth video” last week.

  • Other Symptoms: Nothing new this week.

  • What I’m Looking Forward to: Relaxing on the beach.

  • Best Moment of the Week: A lot happened this past week!!!  We started our childbirth classes, which are awesome, I attended a baby shower and a bridal shower all in one weekend, and we “interviewed” our first pediatrician!!  So exciting and awesome (in case you didn’t realize, this baby is coming THIS YEAR – AHHHHHH).
