Tuk Tuk Thursday – 19 Weeks

  • How Big Is Baby: A mango, about 6 inches long and weighing 8.5 ounces.  She or he is developing the nerve cells in the brain for the five senses, and also adding the protective vernix caseosa to the skin to keep it from pickling in the amniotic fluid. (made a mistake and posted this LAST week, when last week should have been – a sweet potato, about 5.6 inches long and weighing 6.7 ounces.  Baby is starting to move all over the place, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, yawning and swallowing. OOPS – pregnancy brain!!)

  • Sleep: Gooooooooood.

  • Diet/Cravings/Aversions: Nothing new this week.  Still eating everything in sight, including gummy ANYTHING.

  • Exercise: Official exercise and feeling great.

  • Movement: Nothing that I can be sure of, yet.  Although the other evening I swear I felt some bubbles/butterflies, but who knows if that was Tuk Tuk or all the candy I ate!!

  • The Belly: Does a stranger congratulating me count as progress?! YAHOO – looking preggers to the public eye!

  • What I’m Loving: Everything.

  • Worries: If the condo board will approve us in time to move before Thanksgiving.  We found a new place – yay – that’s gorgeous and will be the perfect home for our Tuk Tuk, pending that stars align and the board members like our 37 page application and my handwriting.

  • Other Symptoms: Lower back pain, but only at the end of a long day of walking around on the city pavement.  Some swollen feet – I can only imagine that I’ll think this post is hysterical in a few months when real swelling actually happens.

  • What I’m Looking Forward to: Feeling movement, moving to our new place and starting to nest.

  • Best Moment of the Week: Receiving our first registry gift!!!!  It’s real and we have a piece of gear to prove it!!!!!

Bump Progression…

  1. I heard the greatest idea (at least it strikes me as funny): take a picture every week of your belly WITH the piece of produce that your baby supposedly looks like. I’m totally doing that with the next pregnancy (not imminent).
