After fully digesting such historic news on May 1, 2011, I can only label it as a somber victory. Of course, this news offers much deserved closure for NYC and for so many around the world, but as my dear friend Bana so eloquently quoted:
“…war itself is tragic and all killing in war, even in self-defense, must be treated with sobriety and even mournfulness. War and all of its killing reflects the brokenness of our world. That is the proper spirit with which to greet this news.”
My love goes out to everyone whose lives were so drastically altered almost 10 years ago and for all who have served since then, to seek justice.
